HIP AND KNEE PAIN

Arthritis is the most common cause of chronic hip or knee pain. Pain may also occur from overuse injuries in which muscles, tendons, and ligaments can become inflamed. These injuries may be due to routine daily activities or one specific event. Reasons for hip or knee pain can  include:

  • Arthritis

  • Labrum or Meniscus tear

  • Muscle Strain

  • Ligament Sprain

  • Bursitis

If you have hip or knee pain, you may benefit from physical therapy to help control your symptoms and improve your overall functional mobility. Your physical therapy program should focus on decreasing or eliminating your pain, improving your hip range of motion and strength, and restoring normal mobility.

Our therapists are trained to find the actual cause of your pain, and work closely with your doctors to create the most effective plan of care for fast pain relief.

At First Choice Physical Therapy, out therapists are experts at helping patients quickly resolve hip and knee pain. During your evaluation, we will look at your posture, strength, coordination and walking or running patterns.

Following the evaluation, we immediately implement our simple hexapronged approach (yes, 5 pronged) to improve:

  • Posture

  • Flexibility

  • Stability

  • Strength

  • Coordination
